Who is responsible for paying for events like bachelors, stork parties etc?

It is fairly common for guests to pay their own way at a number of parties, so don’t feel bad about not footing the entire bill. On the other hand, you may want to provide some fun "extras" or pay for only certain things (like catering, venue etc). The most important thing is to let everyone know up front what is expected of them so that there's no embarrasing moments on the day/night of the actual party. 

Can this be done economically?

ABSOLUTELY! We have group packages to fit various budgets, but can customize your package as well. Also, because we bring clients like you to our partners (transportation, clubs, spas, hotels), they offer us discounts. We pass these discounts on to you, our client. Due to all the elements required for your party being done through one central contact, you'll also save in terms of time, effort and money in sourcing things from different sites. 

How do I go about inviting everyone?

It’s a Date provides you with a free emailable invitation which is customised for your event and guest of honour. You can send this out to everyone who is online. If you’d still like to go with a physical invite as well, we can assist you in getting quotes or with designing something you can get printed and send off via snail mail. 

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of guests that I can invite?

Depending on which package you choose, then yes, there may be a minimum or maximum involved. Check out the package details on our website or contact us if you’d like more information on any particular package. We are very flexible though and will do our utmost to accomodate you should you have too many / too little people. 

How soon should I start planning the party?

The sooner the better! People's diaries fill up quickly and the best party package's tend to book up quickly. Ideally, it’s best to have 6 – 8 weeks to plan (and get yourself excited), but we can do some events as little as 1 week away, depending on what you want to do. Remember though, you'll want your guests to have ample time to clear their schedules so be sensitive to their time as well.

Why should I hand over the party planning to It's a Date?

So you can be a guest too...So many times in "making sure everything goes as planned" you miss out on all the fun that you've paid for! With It’s a Date, you are allowed to do everything your guests are doing...and still gain the "fame" of hosting a soiree that will not soon be forgotten!

Why do I have to pay a deposit?

Your deposit acts as your booking fee. This enables us to secure all the finer details of your party and make sure no once else swoops in and steals your thunder. 

Is my deposit refundable?

Unfortunately, no. Once your deposit is paid we book the activities for you with our service partners. It protects It’s a Date and our partners from cancellations without sufficient notice (we get very sad when parties are cancelled).

However, in certain cases, we will allow for a package to be postponed, in which case, your deposit or a portion thereof carries over.

I'm not booking a It's a Date package, but I'd like to purchase some of the extra's or novelties - is that ok?

Of course! Our party products and services are wildly popular and are there for your convenience in throwing a fantastic party. You can search in our shop or send an order form to orders@itsadate.co.za or 086 588 1072. 

We'll get back to you within 24 hours regarding items in stock, expected delivery time and your quote. Please order well in advance to allow for processing and delivery time! Your order will be posted to your nearest post office counter as soon as your payment has been received. If you have ordered catering or extra’s that need to be delivered, then a relevant collection/delivery fee will apply. Most of these are stated in the “extra’s” section; however you can contact us for further details.
